Our Past Team

Past Team Members

During the first round of LPAC research and social action, we recruited 12 peer researchers to form the LPAC team. Below, you can discover what some previous team members have gone on to do.

Annais

“Being a part of LPAC has led me to my job as a Social Researcher on the Consultancy Team at Renaisi. It helped me understand how to monitor this type of research and inform funders about what works and what doesn’t.”

Emmanuel

“LPAC has helped me to be analytical – to look at data and try to understand meaning. It has really helped me in my current apprentice with Deloitte. Personally, its shown me that I can build report with anyone and have the confidence I need to do hard things.”

Jhemar

“LPAC helped me develop my public speaking skills. I now use them for different events and when facilitating youth activities. In the lead up to the general election, I got invited to be part of a meeting with Keir Starmer to discuss the importance of youth services and how to improve them.”

Faith

I am an experienced peer researcher and enjoy getting to know my area.

Karen

As a young person I know how difficult it is to adapt to an area like Lambeth where it is not very safe. As a teenager who emigrated to a new country, I know how difficult it is to be accepted and so I want to make a difference.

Keira

Being a team member of LPAC is so important to me, I’ve gained many new skills and a wider perspective of the world. This has given me determination to find out ways to help our community, bring everyone together, and protect young people from violence.”

Legion

“Growing up there wasn’t many spaces for me and my friends to enjoy ourselves without there being some negative consequences. My skills as a team player have improved as I’ve been able to work with a group of smart and unique young people.”

Mayerli

Since I came to this country, I have been supported and I feel that by participating in LPAC I have the opportunity to help the community and give back.

Olivia

I am passionate about youth violence and trying to find ways to prevent it. Being in LPAC makes me feel like I have the voice and ability to make a change, to fight for existing youth services that help hundreds of young people daily.”

rHIAN

Over time I have seen youth services shut down or decline in my area, leaving young people unsupported.

tALIAH

What excites me most about this role is that I get to help young people with issues that are important to them. It is an opportunity to directly engage with the community, listen to their voices and work together.
