Our Team Members

LPAC team members lead research to understand issues affecting young people, identify what needs to change and bring people together to take action around common concerns.

Adam

I wanted to become a member of LPAC because I want to feel like I’ve contributed to my community in a positive way.

Alanis

Helping young people has always been important to me, and this role allows me to turn research into a real call to action for change.

Anisa

“My work as an LPAC team member is important because young people should be the ones deciding our own futures. Once I knew the problems I, and many others in our area, faced wasn’t normal, I wanted to make some change.”

Faith

I wanted to join LPAC because I am a good listener and I have research experience.

Karen

As a young person I know how difficult it is to adapt to an area like Lambeth where it is not very safe. As a teenager who emigrated to a new country, I know how difficult it is to be accepted and so I want to make a difference.

Keira

Being a team member of LPAC is so important to me, I’ve gained many new skills and a wider perspective of the world. This has given me determination to find out ways to help our community, bring everyone together, and protect young people from violence.”

Legion

“Growing up there wasn’t many spaces for me and my friends to enjoy ourselves without there being some negative consequences. My skills as a team player have improved as I’ve been able to work with a group of smart and unique young people.”

Mayerli

Since I came to this country, I have been supported and I feel that by participating in LPAC I have the opportunity to help the community and give back.

Olivia

I am passionate about youth violence and trying to find ways to prevent it. Being in LPAC makes me feel like I have the voice and ability to make a change, to fight for existing youth services that help hundreds of young people daily.”

rHIAN

Over time I have seen youth services shut down or decline in my area, leaving young people unsupported.

tALIAH

What excites me most about this role is that I get to help young people with issues that are important to them. It is an opportunity to directly engage with the community, listen to their voices and work together.
