About Us
Lambeth Peer Action Collective (LPAC) is made up of young people and youth organisations, working together to create better futures for young people in Lambeth. Young people take the lead in identifying, researching and taking action on issues that affect them.
They do this through:
- Youth-led research to better understand the experiences of young people in Lambeth and the actions that need to be taken.
- Empowering young people to act as a collective in response to research findings.
- Working with those in positions of power to enact change that directly benefits young people in Lambeth.
- Reflecting on the change achieved and where action still needs to be taken or where better research is needed.
Values
Our work is underpinned by the following values.
Community-based
Our research and action is grounded in the needs, issues and concerns of young people and the organisations that serve them.
Participatory
We are committed to meaningful involvement, with young people leading research from start to finish.
Action-orientated
All our work is action focused and aims to drive positive change.
Influential
Through our work we want to influence policy change that benefits young people in Lambeth.
Accountable
Young people involved in LPAC and the communities affected by our research are at the heart of all we do.
